Hair Processing, what is the difference between European and Asian Hair? European Hair: European hair has a much finer texture that that of hair from the far east, it has a natural movement to it. It is sold in natural colours, bleached and dyed. We bleach and dye our own hair and use hair dressing products to do so, ensuring the hair is kept at its best. European hair is a much scarser product that hair from the far east which explains why prices are much higher. To produce enough European hair for a full head of extensions you would be using hair from between 20 - 35 heads - not just from one person!! As raw hair cut straight from the head has lots of short hairs running through it, these have to be removed and seperated to form lengths such as 10, 12, 14, 18, & 20 inches. So from a raw pony tail at 20inch cut from the head you might only get 5 - 8 grams of hair actually measuring 20inch, the remainder being various lengths. Over 50% of our stock is natural virgin hair mainly made up of colours; 1B, 3, 4, 8, 10 and if you are lucky 16. Blondes are rare - well, natural Blondes are! Asian Hair: This hair is processed in the far east, stripped, bleached and dyed and then machine stiched to a weft. (although some do sell it loose) As this hair has gone through HEAVY processing it's lifespan is not as long as the European hair - therefore it is a cheaper product but is more readily available. more info: |
